Kaussner brings more than 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry, working with iconic hotels and global brands. A graduate of Johnson & Wales University, he has developed expertise in event planning, catering, conference services, and destination management across a wide range of settings. His career includes roles at renowned properties in Northern California, Las Vegas, and Southern California, including serving as Director of Catering, Conference, and Destination Services at Terranea Resort, Catering and Conference Services Manager at Bellagio, Associate Director of Conference Services at Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay and part of the executive team at JW Marriott/Ritz-Carlton at LA Live.
Kaussner is skilled in managing large-scale events, including conferences with thousands of attendees, tradeshow setups, and high-profile events for celebrity talent, C-suite executives, and government dignitaries. His leadership and personnel management abilities have earned him recognition as one of 2021's Most Influential Event Professionals in Hospitality by BizBash. He has also played a key role in achieving the Mustang Award for Marriott’s most improved hotel at the Oakland Marriott.
A Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) since 2007, Kaussner brings creativity, expertise, and a high level of professionalism to every project. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and pursuing his passion for automobile culture and adventure motorcycling.
